Mylar® EL polyester PET film is a strong, flexible electrical-insulation material available in 0.48–5 mil thicknesses, including 0.75, 0.92, 1.42, 2, 3, 4, and 5 mil sizes (18.75–125 microns). It provides reliable dielectric strength up to approximately 2.8 kV for 48-gauge film, with good dielectric performance, chemical and moisture resistance, thermal stability, and durable handling characteristics. Mylar EL is supplied in transparent-to-hazy grades and is suitable for transformers, laminating, coating, die-cutting, embossing, winding, and general electronic insulation. Capacitance and finished roll or sheet dimensions are application-dependent and should be specified when ordering.
