Rigid Laminates

Active supplies Rigid Laminates in sheets, rods, tubes or fabricated parts to customers specifications. Grades include XP, XX, CE, LE, G5, G7, G9,G10, G11, FR-4 and GPO materials. We can help select the proper material and fabrication method to most economically meet your needs for non-metallic spacers, terminal strips, electrical supports and mechanical wear parts.

Wedges

Active manufactures a full line of formed and shaped insulations for Electric Motor Winding and Transformer manufacture. Materials include insulating papers, laminates, and films as well as machined hard maple and Rigid Laminates. Nomex® insulating papers and laminates and DMD, TFT, Vulcanized Fibre, PET films and Copaco are carefully formed to produce a wide range of curved and square formed wedges and slot liners. Active also produces and supplies custom machined wedges and spacers made from Rigid Insulating materials such as hard maple and High Pressure Laminates like G5, G10, and GPO Glass Polyester materials.

Formed Insulation

Essex Active fabricates semi-flexible materials into shapes such as formed channels or shapes, U-shaped wedges and tubular shapes. We have experience with Nomex® papers and laminates, Kapton® polyimide film, PET films, DMD's, Vulcanized Fibre, and a wide variety of other plastics, papers, and laminates. Three dimensional formed parts are produced by diecutting, creasing, scoring, or press forming. Secondary operations include printing, adhesive bonding and ultrasonic welding.

Ultrasonic Welding

Active produces parts using Ultrasonic Welding techniques. Custom designed assemblies provide efficient solutions to otherwise difficult or costly situations.
